Alumni Weekend Recap!

Wow! What a weekend. There's way too much to write about in a single post, so we'll be posting numerous times throughout the week to recap our great reunion. While you wait for our crack team of authors to properly document the event, you can sate your appetite for memories by visiting Daniel D. Bruce Photography for exclusive pictures of the event. Dan was all over Troy this weekend and took hundreds of photos of you all. The best ones have been uploaded to his website for you to view and purchase if you'd like keepsakes. He should have all of the photos uploaded by mid-week, so keep checking back. Of course, we'll announce when all of them have been uploaded.

The schedule is as follows:

FRIDAY 3:00 PM: Golf Outing (9 holes) at Brunswick Greens (weather permitting). Contact Joe Novek to reserve a spot (only a few spots left!!!). 5:00 PM: Join your brothers for a bite to eat and some drinks at the Recovery Room, located at the Hilton Garden Inn. No reservations necessary. 9:00 PM - AW Kickoff at the house.

SATURDAY 10:00 AM - Annual Membership Meeting at the house, followed by the Board of Directors meeting. 12:00 PM - BBQ at the house, catered by Master Chefs Sohail Syed and Michael Cipollone. 3:00 PM - Elders vs. Actives Soccer Game (rain or shine) at Lower Renwyck Field. 5:00 PM - Cash Bar and Cocktail Hour at the Hilton Garden Inn. 7:00 PM - Banquet at the Hilton Garden Inn.

SUNDAY 10:00 AM - Brunch at the Heffner Alumni House, followed by a speech by Laban Coblentz, Dr. Shirley Ann Jackson's Chief of Staff. 12:00 PM - Goodbyes at the house

Wanna Golf???

As previously mentioned, the golf outing at Alumni Weekend will occur on April 29 at 3 PM. It will be held at Brunswick Greens in (you guessed it) Brunswick. We only have a few more spots remaining, so if you're interested, email Joe Novek to reserve a spot!

ouRPIs Coming Soon!

We've succesfully archived 86 editions of the ouRPI!  Most were scanned from Jay Webb's collection.  Frank Harrington also provided several 2000s-era soft copies to save us some time and effort.  Thanks to Jay and Frank! Once we finish reviewing them, we'll publish the link.  Some highlights we've seen so far:

• The estimate to construct the wing in 1958 totaled $40,000 (almost $300,000 today)
• A picture from the Christmas party in 1960, with the same seating arrangements and decorations as the present-day Christmas parties
• "Little Sister Patty" in 1981
• Two classic pictures of Troll, one in 1981 and another in 2000
• Tricky Rick's CompuServe email address from 2000

Look at these Sad Composites!

Alumni Weekend Speaker Announced!

The speaker for the Sunday's brunch at the Heffner Alumni House will be none other than Laban Coblentz, who is Dr. Shirley Ann Jackson's Chief of Staff and Associate Vice President for Policy and Planning. February Financial Reports Now Posted

Directors can access them here. As a follow-up to January's post: RPI paid us once in January, and once in the beginning of March. They recently provided us a list of their (and subsequently our) outstanding receivables, which was not provided at the time of the first payment. So, you'll see that there are two different files for accounts receivable: one as of 2/28/11 (which includes the first payment but not the second payment), and one as of 3/8/11 (which includes both payments).

Also, the January reports have been restated (to reflect the first payment's details) and can be found in the same folder.

• A recruitment event in early 2007
